Gallo Wine Sales of New Jersey is searching for a candidate to enter our 6-8 week Gallo Sales High Noon Internship Program. The High Noon Intern provides sales support, which includes providing merchandising and service to their assigned areas. 

 

What You Will Do

  • Assists as needed to support account servicing.
  • Takes direction while supporting the functions of the distributor sales team.
  • Participates in calls on accounts to provide service and merchandising support.
  • Lifts and moves cases of wine while demonstrating how to merchandise and building displays.
  • Participates in developing positive relationships with customers and prospective customers.
  • Participates in design critiques when appropriate.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

What You Will Need

 

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Experience working independently and manage time commitments
  • Experience working cooperatively with others.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  •  

 

What Will Set You Apart

 

  • Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree; OR have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1 year of merchandising experience.
  • Experience merchandising for a distributor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple assignments.
  • Experience in problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience working independently and managing time commitments to meet established service goals

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $22.50/hour
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
