UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions.   • Outpatient Internal Medicine clinic located in one central location
  • Prairie Parkway is a β€œone stop shop” located in Cedar Falls, IA
  • Resources include pharmacy, lab, x-ray, and physical therapy
  • Specialties include rheumatology, pediatrics, obstetrics, endocrinology, family medicine, and our family medicine residency
  • Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic
  • Large, established referral network
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

  • Full-time APP Physician extender role
  • Clinic hours 8:00-4:30 PM, no nights or weekends
  • Includes dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • Average 16-20 patients encounters per day
  • Manage in-basket, see majority of follow-up patients
  • Access and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Screen all patients for health maintenance needs, physicals, disease prevention, immunizations, birth control, and educate patients in health promotion.
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • NP or PA Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • Experience preferred in Internal Medicine
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)Β
