Title: Town & Ranch – Tasting Room Supervisor

Reports to: Director of Retail Operations

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt


Job Summary:

Provide leadership and supervision to the Town & Ranch location in partnership with the Director of Retail Operations. Provides support in team development and standards. Handles all open-to-public and privately booked events. Assists in-store processes and special projects, as assigned – including but not limited to restocking, store cleanliness, food and beverage preparation, inventory, product knowledge training, ordering, etc.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador and representative for the Town & Ranch location as well as Los Poblanos in general
  • Maintain a strong floor presence to assist in customer service and provide a lead-by-example management style
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with the T&R Retail Supervisor, the Director of Retail Operations, all retail outlet members, and all M&M (Retail & Production) team members
  • Manage and handle all bookings of private events, maintaining a professional demeanor and providing exceptional customer service while upholding the space's offerings
  • Music booking for every Thursday and private event music while maintaining professional and strong relationships with local musicians
  • Works closely with the C&C (Events) Sales team to execute private events and provide the guests with the best possible experience
  • Assists in managing and counting inventory
  • Place accurate and timely orders for all retail/ tasting room locations
  • Support retail store standards by maintaining product cleanliness, stock levels, and overall presentation
  • Create and maintain a culture of outstanding customer service and enlightened hospitality
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all relevant regulatory rules and standards
  • Possess a strong understanding of retail/bar systems, including but not limited to Eatec, Infogenesis, and Outlook
  • Understand and assist in sharing retail reporting/results with team members as well as the management team
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Los Poblanos ownership, all department managers, and all team members
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment
  • Consistently communicate and model Los Poblanos' vision, mission, core values, and goals
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

This role is based at the Town & Ranch location but will flex to other Los Poblanos retail and tasting room locations to support the overall needs of the business.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in managing daily shop and tasting room processes
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge; craft cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
  • Study product information to acquire professional knowledge
  • Monitor inventories of products or materials
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and federal laws related to beverage alcohol service
  • Resolve customer complaints or problems
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • Collaborate with the LP team on new initiatives and store events
  • Uphold operational policies
Requirements
  • Passionate about hospitality, good craftsmanship, and New Mexico
  • An affinity for Los Poblanos products, with a specific love for lavender products, gourmet foods, kitchen and tabletop accessories
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
  • This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, train, and mentor
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Able to grasp, lift, carry. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
  • Must be willing and can work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be willing to travel to various retail locations to support the needs of the business
  • A team player that coaches in the moment and is open to feedback and growth

Preferred:

  • Interest in organic farming, agriculture, art, and architecture is a plus
