In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in clinical research and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Job Summary:Β
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.Β
- Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
- Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.Β Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
- Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines.
- Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects.

- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
Physician Requirements:Β
- Graduation from an accredited medical school as a M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.Β
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
- Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency.Β
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredΒ
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required
