Buyer & Merchandiser


IV. Job Summary

The merchandiser is responsible for assisting the Director of Hospitality in managing & maintaining golf shop retail and merchandise operations; along with other needs within Golf Shop daily operations. Each responsibility will uphold and incorporate the Erin Hills Mission Statement goals.

Estimate of hours 40-48 hours/weekly, with average 6 days per week. May – October 2023.


Requirements

V. Duties / Responsibilities

Merchandise

  • Promote daily golf shop sales
  • Plan & promote and market special sales
  • Monitor, track and maintain exchanges/returns that are via phone/mail from guests
  • Keep the golf shop maintained in a neat and clean manner on a daily basis
  • Monthly inventory assistance.Β 
  • Assist with receiving, tagging, filling, and displaying merchandise.
  • Making weekly changes to display and product placement to keep a fresh look in the shop.
  • On-going training for staff on merchandise as product changes throughout the season.Β 
  • Assist with Corporate outing merchandise sales for small groups (11 or less)
  • Develop Corporate merchandise ideas & or programs.Β 
  • POS processing of merchandise
  • Maintain a tidy and functional storage room to help hourly staff find additional merchandise.Β 

Online Store

  • Full-fill all online store orders in a timely fashion
  • Process through Jonas, Package, Ship out
  • Monitor Online Store inventory & sizing

Additionally

  • Assist with check-in of tee times or other needs of the Golf Shop operations
  • Assist with any golf operations as needed in the Golf Shop

Manage Venue Facility and Supplies:

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned work areas.
  • Oversee distribution of work and side duties.

Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming manager.


Other duties as assigned by Buyer


VI. Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine and spirits is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
