Tasting Room Associate

Exciting opportunity as a Tasting Room Associate at The Edge featuring English Newsom Cellars. The Hill Country’s newest luxury tasting room and event venue is peacefully nestled along the Pedernales River. It is secluded on 140 acres just east of Main Street along the 290 Wine Trail. The Edge featuring English Newsom Cellars offers a private getaway to embrace the outdoors without sacrificing the downtown convenience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly follow procedures when opening and closing the facility.
• Provide continuing service to guests at tables and in patio areas while suggestively selling wine and food items.
• Utilize full-hands in, full-hands out mentality when running items to tables.
• Assist runners in delivering food to each guest.
• Maintain cleanliness of the main area and patio areas by utilizing pre-bussing techniques.
• Assist runners in cleaning tables once guests depart to make-ready for the next seating or next business day.
• Maintain general cleanliness of the building (restrooms, lobby area, server stations, et al).
• Own the guest to ensure a superior food and wine experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

· Pay: $30/hr plus tip pool

· Upward mobility within the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Minimum of 2 years in a high-volume restaurant.

· Possess current TABC Server/Seller Certification and current city/state Food Handlers certificate from an approved course provider.

· Ability to stand, crouch and walk for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to work 8-10 hours shifts as needed.

· Sommelier certification preferred, but not required.

· Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills necessary.
