Tasting Room Host:
• Present a memorable, quality guest experience offering information regarding the tastings, tasting fees and answer questions regarding the winery & vineyard history and wines
• Build rapport and relationships with customers and club members
• Utilize strategic selling skills to encourage wine sales and wine club membership sign ups
• Acquire and share wine knowledge effectively and accurately to guests
• Create and maintain a customer-oriented environment focused on building customer relationships and loyalty
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with clarity and consistency
• Comfortable speaking to varying group sizes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and at times, keep busy during slower periods
• Complete other assignments and special projects as assigned
• Goal oriented and sales driven
• Highly dependable; acute attention to detail
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and enthusiasm
• Capture walk-in customer information
• Operate POS and online booking system
• Being knowledgeable on all aspects of our shipping process and clearly communicate it to our guests
• Maintaining an organized, clean, and professional work environment
• Miscellaneous activities such as cleaning and polishing glassware, maintaining appearance tasting room
Job Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous tasting room or hospitality experience, preferred
• Wine & wine making knowledge a plus
• High touch sales experience with a proven ability in closing and up-selling
• Customer service skills
• The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• This position requires the ability to consistently work weekends and some holidays.
