Overview

Assist the Outlet Manager in the planning and management of the Restaurant, Room Service and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day to day tasting room admin and ensure guest satisfaction and enjoyment, and organization of back of house areas.
  • Support Tasting Room wine stewards.
  • Oversees Fareharbor functions and updates.
  • Respond to Tasting Room requests for information including Tours & Tastings, private events etc.
  • Replying back to Tasting Room emails.
  • Booking private events or Tours including blocking space.
  • Booking events for the non-hotel guests using Sales Force.
  • Assist with interdepartmental communications throughout the Resort as it relates to the Tasting Room activations and events.
  • Ensure all special events are on booked on the Winery Events Calendar.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.
  • Working with Sales & Marketing in event planning as it relates to the winery.
  • Assist in fulfilling custom label orders and working with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Coordinating with Group Sales/Event Planning on BEOs and room bookings.
  • Assists with operating supplies and reorders.
  • Help plan and facilitate annual Vineyard Fest.
  • Support service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.
  • Assist manager to establish and monitor sidework duty completion.
  • Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check floorplan for appropriate coverage. Check Winery and Lawn areas for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set-up.
  • Communicate daily with tasting room manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.
  • Assisting the Manager with Payroll reporting as needed.
  • Add/update Wine prices or food items to the new Micros system.
  • Ensure the correct requisition of wine to always have wine stocked on the shelves.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous Winery Experience Preferred.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to use point of sale.
  • Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pound with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
