This position is responsible for greeting customers; answering questions about wines and the wine industry; serving wine to guests; execute opening and closing duties; clean, organize, and stock tasting room as well as restrooms and patio areas; process payment transactions on POS system; provide assistance to guests carrying out purchases; and other duties as assigned.
Hours of work will vary depending upon need, but in no case will they exceed 16 hours per week. Will include evenings and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Β Β Β Greet and professionally interact with guests to answer questions about wines, the incubator, wine making, and the wine industry.
2.Β Β Β Perform cleaning and sanitizing of tasting rooms and restrooms, stock wines, pick up trash in patioΒ seating area. Report any maintenance needs to supervisor.
3.Β Β Β Complete opening and closing duties including unlocking and locking of tasting room and winery bays, wine stocking, Point of Sale operations, general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping and dish cleaning.
Education and/or ExperienceΒ
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Computer literacy required. Β Knowledge of wine and winemaking preferred.
Language SkillsΒ
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret email or social media correspondence with guests. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as sales totals and discounts.
Reasoning AbilityΒ
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Qualifications
Must be 21+ years of age.Β Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to operate with a minimum of supervision.
